Why We Built This Site
Virginia does not place every part of a Patrick County record in one system. The Sheriff's Office controls its own arrest, booking, jail, and investigative material. Patrick General District Court keeps misdemeanors and felony preliminary matters, while Patrick Circuit Court holds felony trial files and district appeals. The Virginia Department of State Police, Criminal Justice Information Services Division, CARE/CCRE maintains the central criminal-history repository. Virginia Department of Corrections custody data and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry add separate layers. This site organizes official contacts, request routes, search portals, known fees, and practical access steps for those custodians.

- We cannot promise that an agency's hours, address, fee, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from the Patrick County Sheriff's Office, the responsible court clerk, or VSP CARE/CCRE. This site can identify the custodian, but it cannot issue the document.
