A name or place entered in a site search tool is transmitted to the outside provider that operates that feature. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Patrick County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Patrick County Criminal History does not create, maintain, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its guides explain how to request official material from the Patrick County Sheriff's Office, the courts in Stuart, VSP CARE/CCRE, and the Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Virginia Code § 19.2-389 limits dissemination of CCRE criminal-history information, while the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, § 2.2-3700 et seq., and §§ 2.2-3706 and 2.2-3706.1 govern access to many public and law-enforcement records. This private site is not a consumer reporting agency, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal histories.
